Order FAQs

Ordering embroidered, printed or branded items should be straightforward, even when you are planning for a school, office or club. These answers cover the questions we hear most often from Mbombela and the wider Lowveld.

Order FAQs

How we start your order and what we need from you

The easiest way to place an order is through the enquiry form on our contact page. Once we receive your request, our team confirms the item list, quantities, branding method and the deadline before anything goes into production.

If you already have a logo, send the clearest version you have. A vector file is best, but we can also work from a good quality image if needed. For school names, staff names or department titles, please send the exact spelling because embroidery and print set-up is done from the text you provide.

  • Tell us what you need branded: shirts, golf shirts, caps, bags, workwear or gifts
  • Confirm quantities for each size and colour
  • Share your logo, artwork or wording
  • Let us know if you need names, initials or position titles added
  • Give us your required date, especially for events, opens days or year-end orders

Clear information at the start helps us quote correctly and avoids back-and-forth later.

Minimum order quantities and when we can do small runs

Minimums depend on the branding method and the item. Embroidery and screen printing usually become more cost-effective from a small batch upwards, while name personalisation and sample pieces can often be handled in lower numbers.

For schools and businesses in White River, Hazyview, Malelane and Barberton, we often assist with mixed orders. That might mean a few staff shirts, a set of caps and a small run of bags for a campaign. If you only need a sample or a small top-up, ask first and we will advise what makes sense for the item and decoration method.

  • Single sample items can sometimes be done for approval
  • Small runs are possible on selected products
  • Bulk orders usually give better unit pricing
  • Different sizes can be mixed within one order

If your order is for a school sports day, church group or company launch, tell us the total count and the deadline so we can guide you on the best option.

Lead times for embroidery, print and sublimation

Lead time depends on the branding method, stock availability and how quickly artwork is approved. Simple embroidery or print jobs with final artwork ready can move faster than custom clothing that needs design setup, size runs or special packing.

As a practical guide, allow extra time during peak periods, before school term starts and around public holidays. Load-shedding and courier schedules can also affect turnaround, especially when goods need to move across the Lowveld. If you are planning for a function in Mbombela or a delivery to Kabokweni, Ngodwana or further out, it is wise to order early.

  • Artwork approval time counts toward the full timeline
  • Custom uniforms and larger orders need more production time
  • Named garments take longer than standard logo branding
  • Urgent jobs may be possible depending on the queue

When you send your enquiry, include your target date and we will confirm what is realistic before you commit.

Approvals, mock-ups and how we avoid costly mistakes

Before production starts, we prepare a mock-up or layout for approval on most orders. This shows the placement, size and look of the branding so you can check details before we stitch, print or press anything.

This step matters for schoolwear branding, corporate wear and gifts because a small error in spacing or spelling can affect the whole order. Please check logos, names, colour choices and garment sizes carefully. If you need changes, tell us before approval is given, not after. It saves time and keeps costs under control.

  • Check spelling of all names and titles
  • Confirm logo placement on chest, sleeve, cap or bag
  • Review colour choices on dark and light garments
  • Approve size ranges for every garment type

Once the approval is signed off, production continues based on that version. Any change after approval may need a fresh set-up or a new quote.

Which branding method suits your item best

Different items need different branding methods. Embroidery works well for shirts, jackets, golf shirts, caps and many school and corporate garments. It gives a clean stitched finish and handles daily wear well.

Screen printing is often a good choice for larger logo areas, event shirts and simple artwork on cotton garments. Sublimation printing suits polyester items and full-colour designs, especially where bright detail is needed. Cap branding, bag branding and promotional gifts are matched to the item and the artwork so the final result looks neat and lasts properly.

If you are unsure which method is best, we will explain the options in plain terms and advise on what fits your budget, fabric and use. Sometimes the best answer is not the most expensive one. It is the one that fits the item and the job.

Packing, collection and delivery across the Lowveld

We pack bulk orders carefully so sizes, names and quantities stay organised. This helps when one delivery needs to be split between different branches, classrooms or departments. It is especially useful for schools and companies that need items sorted before distribution.

Orders can be prepared for collection from our Riverside base in Mbombela, or arranged for delivery where possible. When goods are sent out, we recommend checking the parcel count as soon as it arrives. If there is anything missing or damaged, let us know promptly so we can resolve it.

  • Bulk orders are packed by size, style or department where required
  • We can label cartons for easier sorting on arrival
  • Delivery timing may vary by area and order size
  • Keep your approval and order details until everything is received

Whether you are ordering for Mbombela, Nelspruit Central, White River or a school in Malelane, organised packing makes handover quicker and less stressful.

Questions we get asked

Do you need a logo file before you can quote?

A logo file helps us quote more accurately, but we can also work from a clear image or artwork. If the file quality is low, we will advise what can still be used and what needs redrawing for embroidery or print.

Can you mix different garment sizes in one order?

Yes. Most orders can include mixed sizes, and we often handle varied size runs for corporate wear and schoolwear. Just send the size list clearly so we can pack and label correctly.

What happens if I spot a spelling mistake after approval?

Tell us immediately, before production starts. If the job has already been approved and placed into production, a correction may need a fresh set-up and extra cost depending on the item and branding method.
